For My Momma

Today I finished the bag that I have been working on for my mom.  I had originally planned it to be a Mother's Day present, but it took longer to make than I had hoped.  My mom absolutely loves it. Happy Belated Mother's Day!

My Kind of Math

     [(1 girl + 1 sewing machine) x
(1 towel + 5/8 yard fabric)] - sweat =
1 wicked beach towel tote bag
that I can take to the pool and to camp!

Acrostic Monkey

Sewn by me
Once was a tube sock
Cuter than all other sock monkeys
Keeps me company

Mistakenly, I sewed your tail on your arm
Oddly, you don't seem to mind
Never talks
Kind-hearted
Eats very little
Yearns for attention

Hint Hint Papa

My mom and I went to JO-ANN's today after school and saw this awesome sewing machine.  It is a Viking Emerald 183 and it is soooo cool.  It can sew a heart, lightning, leaf, and bicycle stitch.  I tried it out and I loved it.  I love the computerized panel that controls the length, the width, and the type of stitch.  I hope my first car drives as smooth as this machine.
So, what am I doing right now?  Posting on my blog (obviously) while listening to "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger (my dad's jams), waiting for my two Rubio's fish tacos, and wishing I had a certain sewing machine.
