100th BLOG Reader Giveaway!

Last Thursday, I went to a Stampin' Up
get together with my mom.
When I was there,
I made a new friend, Courtney,
who also loves to crochet.
Hooray!

These are a few of the cards I made.
Aren't they awesome?

And for my 100th post on this blog,
I am giving away this very cool,
scrapbooking notebook set!
Just leave a comment
(hopefully it works this time),
and I will announce the winner on Saturday.

The Best Hot Cocoa

My mom and I were first introduced to the Keurig machine back at Lake Las Vegas when I won a prize in a gingerbread house contest there. There was this strange machine that made drinks. There were a lot of different kinds of coffee, hot cocoa, and tea. They came in little sealed cups that you could put into the machine. Then, when a button was pressed, the machine made your drink. It makes the most delicious, creamiest hot cocoa ever. We've waited a long two years to get one of these machines, and we finally did!

. . . That the Girl Craved for Dinner

This is the delicious dinner of California rolls and wasabi that the girl craved for dinner.
(Wasabi burns if you use too much.)

This is the market where said delicious sushi can be bought that the girl craved for dinner.

This is the GREAT WALL OF HUMMUS in the market
where said delicious sushi can be bought that the girl craved for dinner.

THE END!

Just Run

Today was my very first meet for cross country. I was dying. Cross country is a lot like life. If you know where you're going, it's so much easier. Like at practice, I know exactly where I'm running and how much farther I have to go. It's easy to run the same distance. But at the race, when you don't know the course, it feels like you're never going to finish. Ever. It's a mental struggle, and you have to figure out strategies in your head. I survived, and I'm going to again next Saturday.

The Strangest Muses

Have you ever done a double take and seen something completely different than what is really there? Well I've done it a lot of times. A couple of weeks ago, I looked at the microwave and saw the words, "The microwave is drooling." Now that would be a really cool topic for a story.

Not-So-Happy Spoons

A little while ago, my mom found these Happy Spoons at Sur La Table. Aren't they adorable? My mom only bought one, thinking that when she went back, there would be more. But when we went back, my mom and I couldn't find any! It was terrible. They were soooo cute. There was a winking one, a dimpled one, and a plain, happy one. I wish we had more. Maybe one day, I'll get over it.

Dinner by Papa

Today is the start of the football season. Every sensible male is watching football right now. Isn't that what guys do? I think it's a waste of a lot of time. I don't like football games much. I like hockey and baseball games better. It makes me sound like I'm Canadian. I'm not. My cousins are, though. Enough about football. Papa made grilled sirloin burgers, and we had them for dinner tonight. My brother, sister, and I got to pick a soda, and I picked black cherry. It was really good. Go Packers. Go Bears. Just kidding. I don't really care who wins.

Nothing Better

There really is nothing better than homemade jam.
I can't wait to eat it.
